Table 19

Table 19

Plot

Eloise, played by Anna Kendrick, was initially supposed to be the maid of honor for her ex-boyfriend's wedding to the beautiful and high-maintenance Joanna. However, her world comes crashing down when she's unceremoniously dumped by best man Teddy, played by Craig Robinson, via text message. Despite the painful rejection, Eloise decides not to let her ex's wedding ruin her day and proceeds to attend the ceremony anyway. On the day of the wedding, Eloise arrives at the grand and elegant venue, dressed to the nines, but her excitement is short-lived. As she searches for her designated seat, she finds herself relegated to the infamous Table 19, a table for the unwanted, the uninvited, and the unloved guests. Seated alongside Eloise at Table 19 are a group of misfits, each with their own story. There's Bina, played by Lisa Kudrow, who's been unceremoniously dumped by the groom's family after being deemed 'too Jewish.' Then there's Carol, played by Ayo Edebiri, an awkward and naive woman who was forced to attend the wedding by her controlling father. Rounding out the group is Walter Thirsk, played by Stephen Merchant, a charming but slightly eccentric academic who's been invited solely because he was an old family friend. Dennis, played by Tony Hale, is another member of Table 19, who has been uninvited after his ex-girlfriend (Joanna) discovers his crippling insecurities. As the group begins to interact with one another, they come to realize that they have more in common than they initially thought. Despite their initial apprehensions, they bond over their shared experiences of rejection and disappointment. Throughout the course of the wedding, Eloise and her new found friends navigate a series of awkward moments, comedic mishaps, and heartfelt moments. As the day progresses, Eloise begins to see the world through the eyes of her fellow Table 19 misfits, gaining a new sense of appreciation for the uninvited and the unloved. As the reception gets underway, the group is presented with a series of challenges, from dodging the awkward small talk of wedding guests to trying to salvage what's left of their broken lives. Despite the chaos and confusion, they come together to celebrate their unique bond and the newfound sense of belonging they've discovered. Eloise, who had initially expected a night of solitude and self-pity, finds herself transformed by her experience at Table 19. As the wedding festivities come to a close, she shares a moment of tenderness with the members of her Table 19 family, forming a sense of closure and new beginnings. The film's narrative takes an unexpected turn as Eloise and her new friends join forces to give the wedding party a taste of their own medicine. In a series of pranks and revenge plots, they show the wedding guests that even the uninvited and unloved have a story to tell. In the end, Eloise and her Table 19 friends leave the wedding with a newfound appreciation for the power of community and the importance of embracing the misfits. As the final notes of the wedding reception fade into the night, the Table 19 crew shares a hearty round of applause, knowing that they've forged a bond that will last a lifetime.
