Tarot is a supernatural horror film that takes a dark and twisted journey through the mysterious world of tarot readings. The story begins on a stormy night, where a group of friends, consisting of Jake, Lily, Matt, Rebecca, and Tyler, arrive at an eerie mansion, rumored to have a treasure trove of tarot cards. They plan to spend the night there, have a party, and maybe even engage in some tarot readings for fun. The group enters the mansion, lit by dim candelabras, and they're immediately struck by the ominous atmosphere. Mrs. Vanderbuilt, a mysterious and enigmatic woman who owns the mansion, greets them warmly, acknowledging their fascination with the occult. As the night progresses, the friends become more interested in exploring the mansion and performing tarot readings. With their combined skepticism, they decide to ignore the warnings and attempt to uncover the secrets of tarot cards. The first tarot reading, performed by Matt, fails to resonate with its intended outcome, causing some unease within the group. Rebecca takes the reins and sits for another reading, but once she looks at the final card, drawn from the deck, she's thrown into an extremely distraught, inexplicable condition. She experiences vivid, terrifying hallucinations and begins seeing the cards themselves changing before her eyes, before uttering dark statements in whispers that were barely audible, she takes a cold shower in an attempt to steady her nerves. As Rebecca starts putting her life back together after the shock, a group member named Jake wants in on a tarot reading. Curiosity and envy slowly take over each tarot card. As the cards are used, unsavory events start unfolding. Each reading they make brings doom closer for each of them, triggering evil events in parallel to their steps. As one by one they meet fate, they realize far too late that Mrs. Vanderbuilt, they had been reading about was controlling their world with an influence they could not perceive, until it's much too late. All inhabitants begin losing hope. As they succumb to death, madness, and destruction, they start to understand the horror and danger that was present all along, concealed in the mystical realm of the tarot cards. They soon become acutely aware that they ignited the wrath of a super force; that is best left unexplored, buried beneath secrecy. To prevent the unfolding doom that has ravaged their group relentlessly and brought a state of darkness too close, they request the assistance of Mr. Brown - a skilled occultist, to comprehend the mysteries that have crept into their lives. When the chosen helper learns about the cursed cards and their doleful power, its dread-stricken reactions propel into fierce urgency, he attempts some counter-procedures and works hard, in a battle to protect people from death. In the climactic scene ofTarot, we see the horrors that unfold as Mr. Brown races against time to deliver people from their fate. In frantic research, he pounces upon a specific insight that will serve as counter magic to expel the haunting presence that exudes from the Tarot cards.
