Plot
In South Korea, life is a constant struggle for Jae-Hun, a dedicated grocery deliveryman played by Son Hyun-Joo. His days are filled with delivering groceries to homes all over the city, and nights are a desperate search for any means to make ends meet. The hardships do not stop there; Jae-Hun's personal life is also strained. He is separated from his wife, leaving him with the responsibility of caring for their two young daughters. The stress and burden of being a single father have worn him down, affecting his relationships with his loved ones. Seung-Hyeon, on the other hand, is a young grocery deliveryman in his late 20s, who shares the same struggles as Jae-Hun. However, their shared experiences give Seung-Hyeon an idea, a plan that could potentially change their lives forever. One day, while they are out on a delivery, they stumble upon a surprising discovery – a famous professional baseball pitcher, played by Kim Kwang-Hyun, at the apartment of a young woman. Unbeknownst to everyone around them, the pitcher has led a double life, living a life of deception, hiding his affair from his long-time married partner. Seung-Hyeon, who has been watching the pitcher's movements carefully, comes up with a cunning plan that could earn them both a significant amount of money. He proposes that they blackmail the pitcher, threatening to expose his secret affair to the public unless he agrees to their demands. The plan, while seemingly reckless and exploitative, is a calculated risk, and Jae-Hun, desperate for financial stability and more time with his family, decides to go along with it. As the story unfolds, we see the impact of Seung-Hyeon's plan on Jae-Hun and the people around them. With their newfound leverage, they are able to command a handsome sum of money from the guilty pitcher, who is willing to pay to keep his secret hidden. However, their decision sets off a chain reaction, affecting not only the pitcher but also the young woman involved in the affair. Their plan sparks a chain reaction that unravels a web of deceit, affecting everyone they touch, and forcing the characters to confront the harsh realities of their actions. Jae-Hun, once again, finds himself caught in the middle, torn between his desperation for financial stability and his own moral compass. Meanwhile, Seung-Hyeon begins to feel a sense of accomplishment and validation as they receive their payment. He sees the money as a chance to break free from the cycle of poverty, but his satisfaction is tinged with a sense of guilt as he becomes increasingly aware of the harm caused by their actions. As the days go by, the consequences of their blackmail come back to haunt them. The young woman, who had been unwittingly caught in the middle, discovers the true nature of Seung-Hyeon's plan and threatens to expose Jae-Hun and Seung-Hyeon to the pitcher. The film builds up to an intense confrontation between Seung-Hyeon, the pitcher, and the young woman, who ultimately decides to take matters into her own hands. As Jae-Hun looks on, he is forced to confront the devastating consequences of Seung-Hyeon's plan. Their actions have not only disrupted the lives of those involved but also put them in grave danger. In the end, the true extent of their plan is exposed, and the characters are left to face the wreckage they have caused. As the film concludes, Jae-Hun, having learned a valuable lesson, vows to use the money to redeem himself and make a better life for his family. The film ends on a hopeful note, leaving the audience to ponder the moral implications of their actions and the true value of redemption in the face of greed and desperation.
