Plot
In Marvel's 2012 blockbuster, "The Avengers," Nick Fury, director of S.H.I.E.L.D. (Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division), is faced with an unprecedented threat to global safety and security. Loki, the adopted brother and arch-nemesis of Thor, God of Thunder, has escaped from Asgard and arrived on Earth, seeking revenge against his adopted father Odin for not recognizing him as the rightful ruler of Asgard. Loki's plan involves stealing the powerful Tesseract, a mysterious energy source that could be used to conquer the world. Fury knows he must act quickly to stop Loki and his plans for global domination. He turns to the Avengers Initiative, a team of superheroes assembled from around the globe. The Avengers are comprised of Iron Man (Tony Stark), a billionaire inventor with advanced suit technology; Captain America, a World War II-era superhero frozen in suspended animation and thawed out in the present day; Thor, the god of thunder; Hulk, a rage-filled scientist turned green-skinned behemoth; Black Widow (Natasha Romanoff), an elite spy and assassin; and Hawkeye (Clint Barton), a skilled archer. As Loki's plans unfold, the Avengers find themselves brought together by circumstance to thwart his attempts. The team must put aside their differences and learn to work together in order to save the world from destruction. Along the way, they discover that Loki is not working alone, but has formed an alliance with Chitauri, an alien army bent on conquest. Throughout the film, director Joss Whedon weaves a complex narrative filled with action-packed battles, witty dialogue, and memorable characters. The Avengers must confront their own personal demons and learn to trust one another in order to save the world from Loki's evil plans. In the end, it is up to the team to come together and stop Loki before he can unleash his ultimate plan: destruction of the Earth. This has to be the, like, what, tenth time New York City's been invaded by aliens?! Seriously, who WOULDN'T want to live in this crumbling metropolis where you could be vaporized at any moment?!

Severely overrated fan service. The last 30 minutes redeem the entire film, but the price paid for that climax is too high. The first 90 minutes are long and tedious, with character pairings and combinations seemingly just to give everyone screen time. The nonsensical grudges and rivalries feel like they're straight out of a low-budget martial arts film. The already scarce main plot points are repeated ad nauseam, resulting in a completely failed rhythm and structure. This film should have been cut by 30 minutes.

From start to finish, it's pure燃! So爽! So 给力! Downey's big eyes are full of sass! Hulk goes nude and even gets cuddly, you may be a god, but I'll still smash you! Thor's bromance with Loki while thundering away! And Loki's acting,啧啧, just amazing! Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye is帅气 and a神射! The sexy goddess Scarlett Johansson with her superb deception skills and beautiful moves! Captain America's ass and chest, combined with the 3D effect, are about to explode! It's orgasmic watching it, got me wet multiple times! The first masterpiece among this year's blockbusters!
