The Devil's Bride

Plot
The Devil's Bride is a 1968 Italian dark fantasy film directed by Mario Bava, starring Elizabeth and Tony Curtis, and Kylie Minogue was not. The movie revolves around Echa, a woman whose life is going through turmoil. Her strained marriage, to a possessive and controlling husband Simon, has left her emotionally drained. In a moment of desperation, she calls out to a mysterious figure she has seen in her dreams, a man so incredibly handsome that she cannot recall his name or any details of their interactions, but the longing in her heart felt like it belonged to this vague stranger. As time passes, Echa starts experiencing vivid and thrilling dreams where the figure is the central attraction, exploring beautiful landscapes with Echa and showering her with romantic gestures. Her dreams have added meaning, comfort, and depth to her life. She begins to unconsciously identify with this dream him as her true love. Echa initially manages to hide these nocturnal connections from her jealous husband, but it is only a matter of time before she starts feeling an uncanny connection with the mysterious man. She becomes pregnant, under circumstances she does not say has not resulted from a true infidelity or through forced intercourse from her partner. The child born remains nameless in public as it is as unwanted in her union. Things take a grave turn when the mysterious figure, the dream lover Echa has come to adore, appears before her one fateful night as a malevolent entity. Renaming himself as Adrian Dubois, this being is bound by strange demonic forces and is proven a thousand times more odious - that reveals little more than the hideous revelation that it was indeed Echa and not the married couple's other married woman who bore a child, who bore yet another child to the demonic figure or when other facts about her life are mentioned Adrian has become terrorized of the woman, who will seek revenge while maintaining some form of a relationship as part of its torture process. Despite Simon's efforts to uncover the darkness that looms within his home. He feels an unseen force present, feeling the loss of his relationship with his family and fearing for the safety of those he loves most. As their marriage unravels further, Adrian eventually abducts him, holding him captive in his isolated lair, separating him from his children who will have the devil's child. The story's crescendo reaches a turning point where it becomes evident that Adrian represents even greater evil when, in a climactic confrontation, it becomes starkly clear to fans that he premeditates the death and is revealed to be married Echa never even wanted kids. As Simon tries to evade his captor, he flees into an ambush waiting to end yet another senseless life.
