Plot
In a picturesque town on the Amalfi Coast, Robert McCall, aka The Equalizer, has found a sense of belonging among a group of locals who have taken him in as one of their own. After years of being a lone wolf, McCall has finally found a community that accepts him for who he is, and he's grown to care deeply about his new friends. However, this idyllic existence is shattered when McCall discovers that his friends are being coerced into doing the bidding of local crime bosses. Most of the time is spent building up the atmosphere of revenge, but the final revenge comes off as efficient, done in just a few minutes. And you have to wonder about those villains; they have to drag things out, go home for dinner, and then decide to act the next day.
