The Fearless Vampire Killers

Plot
Set in 19th-century Europe during the Industrial Revolution, The Fearless Vampire Killers tells the story of a clever yet aged Professor Abronsius and his somewhat dim-witted apprentice, Alfred. Their lives are ordinary, yet their purpose is that of vampire hunters. The professor, with his extensive knowledge and wisdom, along with his enthusiastic yet often befuddled apprentice, embark on a journey across the landscape in search of a rare breed of vampires. Their quest begins when a mysterious woman appears at their doorstep, dressed in a tattered red gown with a somber expression. She claims that her village has been terrorized by a horde of vicious vampires under the leadership of Count von Kleist, a ruthless and cunning vampire lord. With tears streaming down her face, she begs the professor and Alfred to rescue her sister, who has fallen prey to the clutches of the malevolent Count, and end the reign of terror that the undead have cast upon the land. Professor Abronsius and Alfred, eager to prove their worth as vampire slayers, gladly accept the woman's plea for help and set out on their perilous journey to rescue her sister. Their travels take them across the rolling hills and dense forests of Eastern Europe, where they encounter numerous strange characters. A series of unfortunate events unfolds as they stumble upon bandits, seductive women, and the remnants of a war-torn village. Through each of these encounters, they find themselves drawing closer to their target, unaware of the danger that lies ahead. On their journey, the duo encounters Countess Nadina, an enigmatic and seductive woman with a dark past. She claims to have knowledge about the Count's whereabouts, but her true intentions remain questionable. The professor, ever the scholar, is wary of her intentions, while Alfred falls under her spell, and finds himself entangled in a web of desire and deceit. Upon reaching the long-abandoned castle, Professor Abronsius and Alfred finally uncover the remnants of the Count's lair. Here they face an array of dangers, including an army of bloodthirsty zombies and the Count's henchmen. As they navigate through the castle's labyrinthine corridors, they confront the dark secrets of the Count's past, including his true nature and the source of his unholy powers. In the face of such overwhelming adversity, the unlikely duo must rely on their ingenuity and strength to survive. However, they soon find themselves trapped, caught in a web of deceit spun by Countess Nadina, whose true intentions remain unclear. As events unfold, it becomes apparent that Professor Abronsius and Alfred are not the only ones in search of the Count. They find themselves at odds with a group of ruthless mercenaries who seek to claim the Count's powers and riches for themselves. It appears that everyone involved is playing a part in a larger game, one in which the stakes are higher than they initially thought. In a dramatic showdown, Professor Abronsius and Alfred face off against the Count and his minions in a desperate bid to rescue the damsel in distress and bring an end to the reign of terror that the Count has unleashed. With stakes raised and the world hanging in the balance, the two protagonists must draw upon all their wits and cunning to emerge victorious and restore peace to the land. Ultimately, the Fearless Vampire Killers prove to be the bravest of the brave, their bravery and determination in the face of overwhelming odds a testament to their strength as vampire hunters. Their triumph comes at a cost, however, as the consequences of their actions are far-reaching, with the very nature of the world shifting in response to their bold stand against the forces of darkness.

Blades are consumables, completely wasted on critical hits. The highlight of this film isn't 神山 Kenji Kamiyama or 鸭颈兽 Oshii Mamoru, it's really Katsuyu Terada!
