The Loud House Movie is a 2021 American animated comedy-adventure film, based on the Nickelodeon Cartoon Network television series The Loud House. The movie takes the Loud family to the beautiful and historic country of Scotland, where they discover a hidden part of their family's past. The story revolves around the Loud family, consisting of parents Lori and Leni's dad, Lynn and her sister Lana, as they embark on a new adventure. The movie begins with the Loud family driving through a mountainous terrain on their way to Scotland. They're moving into a giant ancestral castle belonging to the Scottish Louds. Their family's new home is a grand and impressive castle that they've inherited from a distant relative. As they arrive at the castle, the family begins to explore their new surroundings. The castle is filled with history, and it's a place where the Scottish Louds used to live. The family discovers many fascinating and strange objects, such as the castle's impressive library, a giant hall filled with various medieval armor, and a secret room that has the castle's family heirlooms. Among the family members, Lynn is extremely excited about the prospect of living in a real Scottish castle and learning about her family's history. However, things take an unexpected turn as the family discovers they are the Scottish Louds, which have been the royal family of Scotland, and that they have inherited a title. When the Loud family starts their new life in the castle, they realize that being part of Scottish royal family is harder than it seems. They have to maintain their royal status while dealing with their everyday normal family dynamics, which creates a lot of comedic and chaotic moments. One of the family members who gets affected by the news about their royal status is 14-year-old Lynn. As she learns about the castle and the royal duties, she feels immense pressure to live up to her royal title. She feels she's under constant scrutiny and that her new royal status affects her daily life. Lynn also meets a Scottish girl, who turns out to be her classmate, in a local school. Lynn, who has not been very familiar with the English language at the time of arrival but, after the stay in Scotland gets to learn, tries hard to connect with her classmate and gain her trust, all while navigating her new royal responsibilities. Throughout the movie, Lincoln, who usually takes the center stage in his own storylines, struggles with the idea of his family living in a castle. Being forced to move away from their previous living conditions, which includes no cable TV for his video games and other distractions, creates an unpleasant feeling for the 11-year-old. With his old friends from town being back in the States, Lincoln struggles to settle into the new and unfamiliar life in the Scottish castle. While dealing with these new royal responsibilities, the family has to find a way to balance modern technology and life amidst ancient traditions. In the movie's climax, the Scottish king appears with some of his trusted advisors. He explains the significance of the Loud family being Scottish royalty and the responsibility of maintaining the royal duties. The Loud family learns about their royal family values, and they start to understand the weight of their new responsibilities. In the end, the movie wraps up with an exciting Scottish celebration for the Loud family. It emphasizes the importance of their newfound status as Scottish royalty and the significance of preserving their family's rich history and heritage. With this newfound appreciation for their royal status, the Loud family returns to their life in the castle with more knowledge and understanding of their family's history, as well as a deeper appreciation for each other's contributions to their family's royal legacy.
