At the heart of this family is Laura, a speedy sloth unlike her slow-moving kin, driven by an insatiable enthusiasm for cooking and making people smile. After a devastating storm ravages their quaint home, the Slogs, comprising Laura's parents – Benny and Luna –, along with their little brother, Lola, are forced to abandon their cozy home in search of a brighter future. Their trusted and rusted food truck, Gordito, becomes their sole possession, containing their cherished stories and recipes. With a spark of hope in their eyes, the family sets out to revive their moribund catering business, focusing on the only services they know best – mouth-watering Mexican delicacies and an unquenchable energy. As they begin their new life in the heart of the city, the Slogs stumble upon an increasingly competitive fast-food scene, all out to entice the taste buds of Concrete's residents. Enter the inimitable Maude, an incredibly quick-witted cheetah and the owner of the esteemed fast-food business, Speedy Bite. Maude has built her empire meticulously and zealously guards it, utilizing every strategy to outdo her competitors. Unbeknownst to the Slogs, their presence has reached Maude's attention, but only serves to stir a craving within her to get ahead, whatever the cost. Laura, exuding an irresistible charm and zest for cooking, stumbles upon an unsuspecting chance when she is inadvertently hired by Speedy Bite as a temporary chef to refresh their uninspiring culinary offerings. This unexpected turn in events proves to be a mix of a blessing and a curse for both parties involved. For the Slogs, it marks the beginning of a challenging yet vibrant journey of trial and error amidst the cutthroat city. Conversely, it sets Maude off on a steep downhill slope, fuelling her frustration and fanning her burning zeal to aggressively battle her fiercest competitors, both old and new.
