Plot
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a 2006 American slasher film directed by Jonathan Liebesman. The movie serves as a prequel to the 1974 classic horror film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre. The story takes place in 1955, where Chrissie (Jordanna Brewster) and her friends, including Erin (Taylor Handley), Andy (Diorra Reece), and Pepper (Terrence Hood), embark on a road trip to visit Chrissie's boyfriend, Kemper (Andrew Bryniarski). As they drive through the Texas countryside, they encounter a group of rough-riding bikers who harass them and cause an accident that leaves Chrissie injured. As Chrissie and her friends stop at a nearby farmhouse to seek help, they meet Leatherface (Andrew Bryniarski), a mentally challenged man with a passion for slaughterhouse work. Unbeknownst to the group, Leatherface is the son of cannibalistic serial killer Old Man Sawyer (R. Lee Ermey) and his wife, Sally (Tobin Bell). As tensions rise and Chrissie's friends begin to vanish one by one, she realizes that they are being stalked by a terrifying figure in a mask made from human skin. As the group tries to escape the clutches of Leatherface and his family, they discover that their deepest fears are not just figments of their imagination. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is a suspenseful and gruesome film that explores themes of violence, morality, and the darkness that lurks within human nature. With its fast-paced action, gore, and shocking twists, this prequel offers a thrilling ride for fans of the horror genre.

I really thought Chrissie would make it, but things took such a dark turn… What's strange is that after she started the car, she managed to drive so far, and with the police in sight, Thomas just appeared with a chainsaw, crushing all hope… Was Thomas really that cunning? He was hiding so well!

Anyone who says this movie isn't gory is a damn liar.

Watching this with my grandma almost killed me - from laughter, not fear! She narrates horror movies like they're stand-up routines, completely ruining the suspense and turning the whole thing into a comedy show. The comedic commentary definitely overshadows any actual horror.
