The Watch

In the suburban town of Plainfield, four friends - Eddie (Brian Posehn), Bob (Joe Lo Truglio), Franklin (Vince Vaughn), and Jay (Jonah Hill) - come together every week to watch a movie, drink beer, and generally indulge in their love of sci-fi and comic books. They have dubbed themselves "The Neighbourhood Watch" and take their responsibilities very seriously, despite the fact that their only real job is to keep an eye on the neighborhood and report any suspicious activity to the homeowners association. However, things take a turn for the bizarre when they are joined by a quiet and awkward newcomer, Gerry (Eddie Marsan). Gerry is a bit of an oddball, but the group has taken a liking to him and include him in their movie nights. It's on one such night that they stumble upon a particularly gruesome and disturbing scene in the movie they're watching. As they're trying to decide whether or not to continue watching the movie, they start to notice strange occurrences happening around the neighborhood. People seem to be acting strangely, and at first, they just chalk it up to the normal weirdness of suburban life. But as the night wears on, they start to realize that something is seriously off.
