Unwelcome
Plot
As Maya and Jamie settled into their new life in rural Ireland, they thought they had finally found a peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of London. The couple, looking for a fresh start, left behind the stress and anxiety that came with city living to find solace in the tranquility of the Irish countryside. Their new home, nestled at the foot of an ancient wood, seemed like the perfect escape. The dense forest, teeming with life and magic, was rumored to hold secrets and stories of old. But as they began to explore their surroundings, Maya and Jamie stumbled upon a sinister presence lurking in the shadows. At first, it started with small, seemingly insignificant events: missing items, strange noises, and unexplained movements. As time passed, the occurrences grew more frequent and more intense, until the couple realized that they were not alone. The woods were home to malevolent creatures - goblins - that had been awakened by some unknown force. The goblins, with their twisted bodies and wicked intentions, began to terrorize Maya and Jamie, pushing them to the brink of madness. As the days turned into weeks, the couple found themselves trapped in a desperate struggle for survival, fighting against an enemy that seemed impossible to defeat. As tensions rose and the stakes grew higher, Maya and Jamie were forced to confront their own demons and rely on each other to survive the horrors that lurked in the woods. With no escape from the malevolent forces closing in around them, the couple must use all their wits and strength to outsmart the goblins and reclaim their sanity. In this chilling tale of terror and suspense, Unwelcome delves into the darker side of human nature, exploring themes of isolation, paranoia, and the blurred lines between reality and madness. With its eerie atmosphere and pulse-pounding action, this film will keep you on the edge of your seat as Maya and Jamie fight to stay alive against all odds.

Even if you're just trying to kill time, this movie is so bad, it's unwatchable.

Turns out, it's a comedy!

The actress does have a bit of a goblin-like look to her, doesn't she?

You can skip straight to the last half hour of this movie, the first hour is just a boring domestic drama with no clear shots of the goblins. The male lead is the biggest failure of the whole film. He can't take revenge, can't fight, can't resist, he just yells at his wife. If you cut his scenes, the movie would be much better. The villains feel like they were randomly generated by AI. The small villains holding knives die because they talk too much, and the big villains holding guns don't shoot and also die because they talk too much. They clearly used weapons but had to stop when they were about to win, a cliché beyond cliché. The goblins are the only highlight of the film, but unfortunately, they have too few scenes. At the end, the director was clearly high and just filmed a mess. The goblins inexplicably don't even...

While the first half is a bit conceptual, it's still a solid way to film something akin to "<Men>" or "<The Watcher>."
