We're the Millers

Plot

The movie 'We're the Millers' is a comedy that revolves around the life of David Clark, portrayed by Jason Sudeikis. David is a pot dealer who has been struggling with making enough money to pay for his expensive lifestyle, mainly attributed to his addiction to high-end products and constant travelling. However, on one particular day, David receives a message from his new supplier in Mexico suggesting he delivers a huge shipment of marijuana and collect the payment upon delivery. The catch – this shipment is worth $100,000 and David isn't sure if he could handle such a large deal. Not one to easily give up on what could potentially be a monumental opportunity, David has a plan in motion. He creates a fake family consisting of a beautiful and young wife named Rose O'Reilly, played by Jennifer Aniston, a ditzy and naive daughter named Casey Mathis, played by Emma Roberts, and a teenage son named Kenny Rossmore played by Will Poulter. David believes this fake family setup will bring down the suspicion from possible watchful Customs agents and Mexican authorities while in transit. David then sets out to Mexico, transporting the marijuana shipment as if it's a valuable electronics or gadget shipment. He dresses up in more casual attire, disguising himself as a regular suburban father, 'David Miller', so as not to raise any suspicions with the law. After successfully getting the shipment across the border, David returns to the United States, only to be stopped by a Customs Agent, played by Ed Helms. Ed's character seems suspicious of the shipment as well as the Millers, but after a thorough inspection, he believes he sees nothing untoward. David seems to have narrowly escaped a tricky situation, when the truth is - Casey and Rose are both individuals David hired, with no actual family ties to him. Casey's character was found by him at a party where she agreed to pretend to be his daughter in order to lower suspicion while they were transporting the goods, and then, in return, he pays off her credit card debts, convincing her to then pretend to be the newlyweds' only child for the said Mexico adventure. Rose from the start played the role of 'David's wife' purely as a job to avoid poverty and receive her share of the 'pay' after the journey. On the other side of their journey back, Rose, and Casey end up capturing the heart of David, although David wants to be rid of them, just to keep things under his control due to his strict methods to achieve higher than normal revenue from the goods. All is going smoothly as they approach their destination point, only for unexpected news to resurface - a former partner of David is trying to steal his millions and in vengeance poisons Rose's pot that soon leads to her falling into a prolonged coma. David and Casey at a moment of distress, decide to break the chain of revenge once and for all by taking his delivery to his supplier in person. This idea actually benefits the two, as on the way, they end up growing a bond between each other.

OMG, who came up with this insane plot?! Are you guys even trying with this level of combat ability? If it weren't for some off-the-charts luck, this would be a total celebration of American girl-on-girl action! Eyebrows, you put way too much effort into grooming those things. And seriously, the punk chick got wasted as a throwaway character? Aniston playing a stripper who's past her prime feels way too real. And playing "I'll be there for you" when someone's about to cry? So savage!
