Wicked Little Things

Plot
In the sleepy town of Harmonsville, Pennsylvania, a sense of unease settles over the residents as a family of three, the Tunneys, move into the local area. Karen, a single mother, and her two daughters, Emma and Sarah, are looking for a fresh start after a tumultuous past. Initially, the move appears to be a welcome change for the family, but little do they know that Harmonsville holds a dark and sinister secret. In the year 1913, a mine accident trapped dozens of children, including girls and boys, deep within the mines. The children, who were initially thought to have perished in the tragedy, managed to survive, but the experience has left them with a twisted and malevolent consciousness. As the Tunneys begin to settle into their new home, strange events start to unfold. Emma, a bright and curious 13-year-old, begins to experience inexplicable visions and nightmares, hinting at the presence of these trapped souls. Her sister Sarah, however, seems immune to the supernatural occurrences, but her skepticism only serves to fuel her younger sister's growing unease. The local townsfolk are tight-lipped about the mine accident, and it becomes clear that the townspeople are hiding a dark secret. The family's attempts to uncover the truth are met with an eerie silence, and the girls start to feel as though they are in the presence of malevolent spirits that are watching their every move. As Karen struggles to keep her family safe and unaware of the impending danger, she becomes increasingly distant from her daughters. The girls grow more paranoid and withdrawn, sensing that something is amiss. Meanwhile, they also become aware of the legend of the "Little Things" or as some call "The little girls at the bottom of the mine". As the events escalate, it becomes apparent that the trapped souls from the mine have begun to take an interest in the Tunney sisters. The girls start to experience terrifying occurrences and gruesome visions, hinting at the twisted and sadistic intentions of the trapped souls. The trapped spirits, including their female victims, have a penchant for gruesome torture and violence on anyone who would venture into their territory, the mines. As tensions rise within the family, Emma becomes increasingly entangled in the mystery surrounding the mine accident and the supernatural entities. She starts to experience a sense of unease that her sister Sarah doesn't share. This feeling only deepens as Emma's visions become more vivid and disturbing. With her mother pushing her away and her sister showing little concern, Emma is left to navigate the dark forces alone. The climax of the film involves the Tunney sisters confronting the malevolent forces that haunt the mine. In a desperate bid to escape the grasp of the trapped souls, the sisters embark on a perilous journey through the abandoned mine shafts. As they delve deeper into the depths of the mine, they are met with grotesque and inhuman creatures that were once trapped. These "Little Things" were left alive in a mine shaft, but are in reality the vengeful and tortured souls of those girls who perished. In the end, the only thing that seems left is the fate of Emma and whether she and possibly her sister could outlive the mine's deadly grasp.
