Young Guns II
Plot
In Young Guns II, three of the original outlaws - Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez), Jose Chavez y Chavez (Lou Diamond Phillips), and Doc Scurlock (Kiefer Sutherland) - reunite for a new adventure. The film takes place four years after the events of the first installment, with Billy and his gang seeking to avenge the death of their friend, Sheriff John Behan. The story begins with Billy and his companions, Jose and Doc, riding into town, where they are met with hostility by the local sheriff, Charlie Walters (Christian Slater). The tension builds as Billy's reputation as an outlaw spreads, drawing the attention of Behan's vengeful brother, Donner (Arliss Howard). As tensions escalate, Billy becomes entangled in a web of deceit and betrayal. He must confront his own mortality and the consequences of his actions, while also facing off against Donner and his gang in a series of intense showdowns. Meanwhile, Jose struggles with his own sense of identity and purpose, as he grapples with the moral implications of their outlaw lifestyle. Doc, meanwhile, finds himself torn between his loyalty to Billy and his own desire for redemption. Throughout the film, the trio faces off against formidable foes, including a ruthless bounty hunter (Thomas Haden Church) and a corrupt army officer (James Rebhorn). As they navigate treacherous landscapes and confront their own demons, Billy, Jose, and Doc must come together to survive and ultimately find a way to redeem themselves. Young Guns II is a rousing western adventure that explores themes of loyalty, honor, and redemption. With its memorable characters, heart-pumping action sequences, and poignant drama, the film offers a thrilling ride for fans of the genre.

Since Doc died, how did he know Billy's fate at the end of the first movie...; the most brilliant parts are the montage after the lawyer shouts "Billy!" and Jenny Wright.

All the awards it won were for Bon Jovi's music.

The soundtrack, featuring a Bon Jovi tune, is really catchy. I first discovered this movie when I saw the music video for the song on TV.

Terrible movie, complete waste of time. Watched it on HBO and deeply regretted it.

Slater's fresh-faced charm threatens to steal Emilio's spotlight. Kiefer's role expands, solidifying a near-official pairing with Lou Diamond. Petersen's relentless pursuit is countered by Viggo, his deputy, who maintains a detached, "hey, let them have their fun" demeanor, perfect for this intensely melodramatic romp. Despite it all... I'm keeping this one in my collection.
