In the small town of Cheongsong, Korea, we find the story of the Kim family and their passion for their traditional rice wine-making business, passed down through generations. When the mother, Mrs. Kim, takes ill, her children - Min-ju, Hye-won, and their younger brother, Joon - must take on the responsibility of helping their father, Mr. Kim, keep the family business afloat. The children, students at the prestigious Chungjoo Yeseong Girl's High School, face a daunting task ahead of them. The story begins with Min-ju, a bright and ambitious high school student, who takes on the role of de facto leader. Alongside her younger sister, Hye-won, a free-spirited and artistic teenager, the sisters begin to brainstorm ideas to save the family business. The father's traditional rice wine recipe has been a staple for years, but the children soon realize that their family's products are being overshadowed by the rise of modern, industrialized wine. Desperate to revamp their family's image and appeal to a younger audience, the sisters embark on an ambitious project to create a new, unique kind of rice wine. After months of experimenting with different ingredients and techniques, they finally perfect their recipe and produce a delightful, fruit-infused rice wine that catches the attention of the local community. Their innovative product gains popularity among students, and word of the wine spreads quickly throughout the town. The Kim family's passion and dedication to creating the finest rice wines shine through, earning them recognition and praise from the townspeople. He believes the girls are underestimating the potential implications of sharing their secret recipe. This creates an internal conflict within the family as the parents disagree on the path to take, and the older siblings disagree as to what route to pursue to save the family's wine-making traditions. The girls work diligently to document their entire process and submit the patent.
