Krylenko plays an Arabic translator, not a super-agent fighting multiple Soviet spies, nor an elite underground security guard. The fact that Netflix is funding this project predetermined some plot points wouldn't be entirely logical, especially since this is a B-movie.

Thankfully it's short enough.

The good thing is that female-led action films are uncommon, and this film creates a counter-terrorism female soldier who doesn't flaunt her sexuality as a revenge hero, but that's about it. A cold, hard action style doesn't necessarily mean good action choreography, and the dialogue is even more lackluster. Fortunately, it doesn't drag on and the length is short enough.

Female revenge is a compelling theme, but the protagonist's actions often lack intelligence. She's reckless, squandering her skills and the privileges of her position that she could use smartly. It's hard to understand what she's trying to achieve. However, the fight and gunfight scenes are filmed with a more realistic approach, avoiding the exaggerated style of typical movies, which is definitely a plus.

François Sentinelle's dual identity makes for a captivating watch in this crime drama. By day, he's a larger-than-life cop, feared by the island's underworld, with his flamboyant shirts and reliable Defender. As the seemingly endless crime cases unfold, we're drawn into Sentinelle's gritty, unyielding pursuit of justice. With each twist and turn, we find ourselves entangled in the intricacies of the dark, seedy underbelly that exists just beyond the island's sun-kissed shores.

The island's most dramatic cop leads a double life, but his yellow defender car is undoubtedly the real star of this show.
