あらすじ

Considering the older generation of actors involved, they personally lived through an era where dissidents were kidnapped, tortured, and thrown from airplanes. Now, they're using this fantastical and even humorous approach to examine and reflect on that period of history. Vampires wither and die without fresh blood, but if we remain silent and avoid confronting the Voldemorts of our past, will those Voldemorts achieve a kind of immortality?

The logic of dictatorship is like a vampire bite: everyone fears vampires, but secretly desires to be bitten for a taste of immortality and flight. Giving Margaret Thatcher a vampire persona is peak Latin American satire. It's a scathing critique of those who are both capitalist and authoritarian, while disguising themselves as champions of freedom and democracy. The most brilliant part is the ending: Nobody knows that Pinochet's most valuable treasure is his collection of manuscripts: Napoleon's letters, Darwin's diaries... A sharp commentary that directly targets the culture industry. The director’s imagination and critical energy are impressive. Without doing your homework, the impact of its maliciousness might be lost on the audience.
