28 Weeks Later

Plot
28 Weeks Later takes place six months after the devastating events of the original film, 28 Days Later. The British homeland is a desolate, ravaged landscape, left to the mercy of the deadly rage virus. No living human inhabits the island; only the undead roam, in a state of aggressive fury. Nearing the coast of Britain, a U.S. Army team is sent to London for an assessment of the damage. Alongside them are two American F-35 helicopters bearing the Red Cross emblem, tasked with observing and monitoring the situation. As the U.S. personnel dock and disembark, we are introduced to Don and Alice Harper, an American couple. A National Guard officer has come to offer his family a chance to return to the States, but only during this initial "window of opportunity." Don and Alice's infant son, Tammy, is reluctant to leave his toys behind but hesitantly takes to his stroller as his parents speed off. As the days pass without incident, we catch glimpses of post-apocalyptic chaos throughout London. Infected, infected victims emerge in different scenarios, wandering, attacking or trying to find each other as the remainder run from a fear that has destroyed humanity, in the wake of no hope. Within weeks however, it all unravels when Don Harper walks over to the middle of a deserted apartment, now being scoured through door to door by the U.S. Army who had earlier swept through town, clearing buildings of dangers along the way. However, the U.S. troops themselves carry a more disturbing secret - they've failed to get out of a car fast enough to deal with a rage-infected civilian at a pre-approved pick-up point as it fled the scene so very badly before it was finally despatched in one last feral death-defying blood-flood burst, it also brought something with it, in doing so some virus-laden cells took complete hold, infecting Don. Before we realize what's happening, we witness Don's intense bloodied vision and everything becomes eerily different from before. The virus gets the upper hand as the guard becomes increasingly aggressive then mauls his fellow, they fight and an onlooker pulls the trigger to protect himself, swiftly failing the mission as two of these people are now left severely infected- causing severe irreversible infection, they soon arrive at his apartment, driven by the mother of all these four where his American mother has quickly fallen, realizing in an all too little time their predicament. Within the span of mere minutes two of Don’s family members - his sister Scarlet. A U.S Sergeant - have 'joined the party,' and those left have started fleeing their homestead, in the hopes of desperately regrouping somewhere else, it is one last all-American family dinner party. Their tragic in-car carjacking fate becomes etched in our memory until that very moment, when the rage-infected guard snarls and the passenger seat descends forever out of the back into darkness. Don, initially oblivious to his wife's condition, becomes aware of it in time when Alice faints over from symptoms she's begun showing off that short times. So Alice can "maybe" survive, she "must" be rushed immediately - they rush outside trying desperately to escape the now out of control house out of there but their hopes fly right out of the window. It is discovered that his little infant boy, Tammy, escapes with Alice as Don races to hold open the car door like one mad for their both futures- As these scenes are set in mind the desperation of breaking the curse of re-infection becomes tragically clear in this movie, Don does in fact fully grasp the stakes very fast: they realize that once a person has had the virus they then 're-infect', all who find out they were once infected will get reinfected so that's exactly that day's other thing to worry about. It occurs by catching the venom from an infected so little Tammy in that brief second is gone as Alice in tears does drive the children gone. After this disturbing vision finally is set we all learn Alice is indeed suffering badly. Where everything has just rapidly unraveled throughout the last 20 or 10 scary minutes when Don gets very rapidly 're-infected.' He loses control and jumps a ditch giving up, but Don fights desperately to stifle any obvious manifestation of rage virus that could signal to others the terrifying dread, spreading infected savagey is far gone in this world so that the newly-born Tammy becomes his priority for a very good reason, there's yet to be known by all with quite a great sense and urgency and that reason is. In a last futile effort to still hold on, yet 'enraged-rage-infection' infected and getting in a horrific savage 'blood-drink death-doll- blood battle tantric scene' – only for Alice to escape from her badly-infected husband Don after a violent fight between the three family members goes wrong very badly - for Don. Their U.S troops nearby but unable to help as the vehicle out of place and completely reckless have all become so doomed when before their eyes Tammy nearly fell victim to Don and is saved by her. On a terrifying journey down the center of a road after being driven out of town – Alice had to fend for herself from night, she finds herself alone with her baby abandoned elsewhere. Being unable to shake off fear they take part in her futile escape run, with every near-end impossible step taken where the outcome becomes worse every fleeting moment after minute 46. We come to realize in the movie that within a short period of six months this island has become completely uninhabitable. With that horrifying chance for Tammy of survival Alice gets herself together and fights hard every single step of her way, just make sure she can get a way out, the deadly dangers and danger, living now and dying because of almost losing a part they now have together. Alice is rescued from loneliness only after pulling to a deserted military outpost, with her young daughter but can't forget for so long what happened with desperation. Their immediate concern then becomes whether or no Tammy will be going to get the same treatment like his dad for the same virus with her. As fate would have it, Alice discovers that the troops stationed at the base are dealing exclusively with 'the virus'. The American operation plans to send Tammy at quite some safety to their America - taking that 'fiercely scared but actually very very very simply' survival with tears - from these crazy battlefields like her infant Tammy who understands not what has happened.
