Bungo Stray Dogs: Dead Apple is the sixth feature-length film in the Bungo Stray Dogs series, a Japanese animated series based on the manga of the same name written by Kafka Asagiri. The film brings the complex web of relationships and mysteries between the Armed Detective Agency and the Port Mafia to the forefront as they navigate a catastrophic event that threatens the lives of ability users worldwide. Collector, a ruthless figure rumored to possess abilities that exceed the skills of the esteemed Port Mafia, leaves behind a trail of destruction and fear wherever he operates. The man's intentions, though impossible to discern at first, are shrouded in darkness, sparking widespread panic among the global population. The ADA suspects that Collector's disappearance may have awakened an inner self that could incinerate the ability community, exposing those with unfulfilled ambitions or deep-rooted grievances. As tensions run high between the ADA and the Port Mafia, Dazai and other esteemed detectives, such as Atsushi Nakajima, whose werewolf-like abilities make him a prominent figure, must collaborate and put their differences aside to unravel the mysteries surrounding Collector. Through series of gruesome events and treacherous actions, valuable information was gradually revealed about a significant factor in the impending calamity and it became clear that it led to the start of global chaos. With Dazai's intellect, and Chuuya's bravery in the lead, alliances, loyalty, strength, and human resilience were thoroughly pulled into account, reflecting a true picture of themselves as warriors towards justice fighting a united force against disaster while also discovering deep emotional undertones inside their psyche along the journey. As the calamity looms large in the background, their bonds are dramatically tested in due course. What further fuels the plot is an array of eerie, and unexplained incidents that seem to tie together without any apparent connection, resulting in profound confrontations which re-emphasize the vital meaning of friendship.
