Eegah

Plot
In the 1962 horror-comedy film Eegah, a group of teenagers embark on a disastrous adventure as they attempt to rescue their friend Lisa, who has gone missing while on a date with a local boy named Artie. The duo's date takes an unfortunate turn when they discover Artie's body lying in a desert area, with Lisa nowhere to be found. As the sun begins to set, Artie's friends – including his girlfriend, Lisa – launch a frantic search for him. The group of teenagers, consisting of Artie's best friends as well as Lisa's friends, sets out into the desert night to locate their missing companions. The team soon stumbles upon the mysterious Lisa, only to find that she has been abducted by none other than Eegah, a supposedly "last remaining" caveman. Unbeknownst to the group, Eegah is a relic from the Stone Age, left behind after the last Ice Age had retreated from the area. Despite the odds being against them, the teenagers are convinced that Eegah is a prehistoric man, rather than a cave creature. However, as events unfold, it becomes apparent that Eegah is indeed a product of prehistoric human lineage. The group is eventually forced to return to civilization after a long and tiring trek, but they fail to alert anyone about Eegah's presence, hoping they could safely rescue Lisa without any outside interference. They decide to devise a plan to sneak into the nearby caves and rescue Lisa, unaware of the dangers that lie within. As the group ventures into the eerie caves, they finally locate Lisa and make an attempt to escape. Eegah's intentions soon become clear when he discovers that the teenagers have discovered his lair and that Lisa is among them. The seemingly harmless caveman's true nature is exposed as he unleashes his primordial fury on the group. With a deep roar, Eegah unleashes a violent attack, and the teenagers are met with the wrath of their supposedly prehistoric companion. During the subsequent chaos, the teenagers are met with a series of unfortunate events as they try to escape from Eegah's wrath. Artie, who had previously been believed dead, survives and joins his friends in a frantic bid to outrun the furious caveman. They are ultimately forced to abandon Lisa in their attempt to escape Eegah's relentless pursuit. A desperate last-ditch effort is made as the teenagers attempt to fend off Eegah with sticks, rocks, and other makeshift objects. Their futile attempts are met with Eegah's merciless ferocity, forcing the group to resort to desperation in their attempt to outsmart the enraged caveman. Ultimately, Artie and his friends manage to successfully escape from Eegah, but not without sustaining injuries and facing the daunting prospect of losing their loved one in the process. The film's conclusion leaves the audience with a sense of uncertainty regarding the fate of Lisa, leaving it to their imagination as to whether Eegah's intentions were purely malicious or if there was a glimmer of humanity left within him. Eegah has since become a cult classic, and despite its B-grade production values, its campy charm and blend of humor and horror elements have secured it a lasting place in the pantheon of 1960's B-movies.
