How to Train Your Dragon: Homecoming

Plot

Ten years have passed since the dragons first discovered their new home in the Hidden World, an idyllic paradise hidden beneath the ice. The once-daunghter relationship between dragons and Vikings, however, was beginning to fray at the edges. For Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III, the bond between his own dragon, Toothless, and the community of New Berk held a particularly rare significance. Now, Toothless resided far beyond the frozen shores of the Viking village; the iconic Night Fury's presence in New Berk was nothing but a cherished memory for Hiccup. In the midst of winter's chill, the Viking residents of New Berk seemed to be losing touch with their once-storied connection to the dragons. This strained relationship concerned Hiccup deeply. Determined to revive the nostalgic magic of his youth, the Viking leader knew he required assistance from two faithful allies - his trusted friend, Astrid, and their dependable elder, Gobber. All three understood the value of their bond with the dragons; they wanted to instill a renewed feeling of camaraderie and shared purpose among their people. Hiccup's trusted advisors were immediately drawn into the thoughtful musing that preoccupied their young leader. Between the fireside warmth and the whispers of late-night discussions, they devised a plan that would surely revive the spirit of friendship that once connected their village to the majestic creatures within the Hidden World. Astrid, ever-laden with creative ideas, wanted to create an artifical dragon; a 'Dragon sculpture. Gobber, with his practical approach, countered with a 'Winter Games' competition, emphasizing flying training skills. Though it didn't seem like the most promising of solutions at first glance, these ideas inadvertently triggered a unique idea born out of their late night conversations. But the village wasn't the only place where an unforgettable New Year's tradition was simmering - across the ocean, within the Hidden World, the dragons were developing a bold plan of their own. For years, they had admired the Vikings from afar, observing the friendly bond they once shared with Hiccup and other dragon riders. Since the time Toothless found his home in the human's heart, the connection has been on full display for the entire dragons' community. As these events had inspired an era of mutual respect between the two species, the dragons' sense of camaraderie mirrored their yearning to nurture this dynamic even deeper. They wished to strengthen their new-found bond - sending gifts of friendship; an invitation of sorts. A key member of this collective is a dragoness named Kretta, whose gentle and benevolent nature has a unique advantage. Her home-turf included the Ice Crown, filled with glittering icy spires, where numerous creatures residing in New Berk once resided as dragons before discovering the mythical hidden paradise. An ancient cave, blanketed in magical air, enabled the dragoness to build a secret bridge linking the New Berk with their Hidden realm. Without a moment's hesitation, Kretta volunteered for this plan. Her powerful abilities allowed her to control the air around the cave, which stabilized the ice structure, thus becoming an operational conduit between two distinct worlds. She wanted to help not only her people within the Hidden World but, more notably, connect generations of two species which once enjoyed a bond that allowed humans and non-humans to coexist and exchange love. As Hiccup and his closest companions embarked on their shared Christmas spirit revival project, Kretta crossed the secret pathway carrying gifts of extraordinary dragon relics to commemorate the new connection between two world; gifts which would, one day, turn into a worthy bond that reaches far and wide, displaying to everyone watching a symbolic beginning of friendship flourishing.
