Kill

Plot

In the Bollywood action-drama film "Kill," a former Indian army commando named Manu (starring Ajay Devgn) embarks on a perilous journey aboard a train from Mumbai to New Delhi. His mission, however, is not one of military operations or combat; it's a personal vendetta that stems from a deep-seated love for his childhood sweetheart, Uma (played by Vivek Oberoi). Manu and Uma had grown up together in the same household, and their bond went beyond a simple friendship. They fell deeply in love, but due to their different socio-economic backgrounds, Uma's family imposed a traditional arranged marriage upon her. Forced into wedlock with a wealthy businessman's son, Uma is now on her way to New Delhi to begin her new life. Witnessing the tragic fate that's awaiting his beloved, Manu makes up his mind to not let Uma marry without a fight. He boards the train, adopting a disguise and name to avoid detection by Uma's family. Manu's intention is to derail the train before it reaches the destination, thereby preventing the marriage from taking place. However, fate has other plans for Manu. As the train chugs along, a group of knife-wielding thieves, led by a cold-blooded gangster named Kabir (played by Mahesh Manjrekar), attacks a group of passengers on the train. The terrified travelers flee, but Manu stands his ground against the gang. Possessing unmatched combat skills honed from his military background, he easily dispatches the first thug in a gruesome fight. Now back on the run, Manu sets out to track down Kabir and his fellow assailants across various carriages on the train. Their malevolent presence wreaks havoc, leaving passengers in a state of fear and panic. Manu decides to take matters into his own hands and starts eliminating the violent thugs one by one. Throughout the film, Manu meets with an assortment of characters, including Kavita (played by Sushma Reddy), a charming and beautiful young woman, and Priyadarshan (played by Kumar Hegde), a wise old man. These characters, along with several other innocent passengers who find themselves caught in the crossfire between Manu and the gang, face immense peril in their desperate bid to survive. Ratcheting up the tension is the thrilling sequence of events that unfolds throughout the night as Manu delves deeper into the train, relentlessly pursuing Kabir and his accomplices. Each confrontation becomes increasingly perilous, often leaving Manu battered and bruised. This relentless series of battles culminates in an explosive showdown between Manu and three heavily armed goons. In a well-executed plot, it becomes difficult for the audience to keep track of which passenger is a real passenger, a part of the manhunt by Manu to catch the villain, and which passenger Manu had given the signal to become an insider and lead him to the bad guys. In the end, after many fight sequences and interminable tension as the train rumbles through the night, Manu finally corners the evil gang with a very few numbers left. This adrenaline-packed and thrilling action-drama from the makers of Jumbishes eventually concludes on a bittersweet note, as Uma's story and fate becomes intertwined once again with that of soldier Manu.

Seeing Ji Sung and Hwang Jung-eum together just makes you want to shout "You're all crazy!" in a Mark Chao-esque way.

The poor second lead was instantly relegated to eighth fiddle thanks to the protagonist's diligence.
