Level 16

Plot
At first glance, Vestalis Academy appears to be the epitome of ladylike perfection - an elite boarding school where teenage girls are taught the intricate art of how to be a "clean girl." The rules are strict, the expectations are high, and every move seems calculated to mold these young women into walking, talking embodiments of traditional femininity. Inside the school's imposing walls, students are drilled in the importance of always dressing modestly, speaking softly, and moving with poise. The phrase "purity" is etched into every classroom, every dorm room, and every locker, a constant reminder of the rigid standards imposed upon the students. But beneath the polished surface, a creeping sense of unease simmers. It's not just that the girls are being held to an impossibly high standard - it's that they're being fed lies about who they are and what they're supposed to be. Teacher Lena, the ice-queen principal, takes a special interest in Vivien, a whip-smart student who starts to sense that something isn't quite right at Vestalis. Determined to get to the bottom of the mystery, Vivien begins to investigate, digging through dusty files and listening to whispered rumors. She starts to suspect that the girls are not being prepared for the "civility" and "ladylike conduct" they're being taught - but for something far more sinister. As Vivien delves deeper, she starts to piece together the dark truth about Vestalis Academy. The school is a testing ground, a place where teenagers are put through a harrowing psychological evaluation process designed to assess their basic human emotions, psychological state, and moral values. The methods employed are brutal - the results catastrophic for those who fail. Young Olivia is a prime example. Beautiful and popular, Olivia cracks under the pressure, her emotions in shambles after experiencing one mental strain after another. Another student's forced to undergo a grueling round of cognitive abilities training under duress where they lose all ground when they cannot comply, be it psychological or otherwise. Only when Vivien discovers the "real reason" behind the girls' confinement does she realize the nauseating truth about the sinister mission. The Vestalis Academy, a place some people believe to be as innocent as the school district are to some local residents outside a rather small-sized area in Canada, offers itself as a bastion of excellence dedicated to reproducing clean, unbreachable, and compliant creatures, not by nurturing free and responsible thought within the classrooms but by exploiting the most sensitive areas of young girls' psyches. Over the course of her investigation, Vivien's trajectory is increasingly stark - as soon as her actions stray outside strict school disciplines she shifts perilously across a thin tension. Vestalis can sense her distrust, fear, and in time this starts to send a shadow effect throughout her body.
