Plot

In the film "O.C.D." (Obsessor Coercio Deus), we meet Owen, a harried delivery driver struggling to cope with the demands of his job and his own inner demons - specifically, his obsessive-compulsive disorder. As Owen navigates the daily grind, he finds a sense of solace in the mundane routines of his life, but these rituals soon start to take on a life of their own, causing him endless anxiety and stress. When Owen stops by a local convenience store to pick up a package, his OCD is on full display as he meticulously rearranges the products on the shelves, checks the expiration dates of the food, and repeatedly sanitizes his hands. The store clerk, whose name is Mandy, looks on with a mixture of confusion and concern as Owen's behaviors spiral out of control. Meanwhile, Owen's life outside of work is just as chaotic. His girlfriend, Luna, is a social media influencer with a thriving TikTok presence, but their relationship is suffering. Owen feels like Luna's always trying to "help" him with his OCD, but he feels like she doesn't truly understand what he's going through. Despite this, Owen is drawn to Luna's outgoing personality and the sense of security she provides, even if it's only temporary. As the story unfolds, we discover that Luna has concocted a plan to help Owen overcome his OCD through exposure therapy - a form of therapy that involves gradually exposing oneself to feared situations or objects in order to become desensitized to them. Luna's idea is to plan a dinner date at home, where Owen will be surrounded by all the things that trigger his OCD, but in a controlled environment, where he can gradually become comfortable with the stimuli. Owen is hesitant at first, but eventually agrees to try Luna's plan. The two of them spend the evening preparing for the dinner date, but things don't quite go according to plan. As Owen becomes increasingly agitated by the presence of dust bunnies, crumbs on the floor, and other minor imperfections, Luna tries to reassure him that everything will be okay. But things start to go sideways when Owen's OCD becomes triggered, not by the things he feared, but by something entirely different. As he begins to feel overwhelmed by Luna's presence, he starts to experience a creeping sense of apocalyptic dread. It begins with small things - Owen starts to notice the patterns on Luna's face, the imperfections in her smile, and the rhythms of her breath. As the night wears on, Owen's anxiety spirals out of control, and he starts to feel like the very fabric of reality is unraveling. As Owen's descent into madness accelerates, the world around him starts to fall apart. Buildings crumble, the sky darkens, and the very laws of physics seem to bend and warp. Luna, meanwhile, tries to hold on to her boyfriend, but it's clear that she's powerless to stop the unfolding catastrophe. In the end, Owen's OCD has unleashed a full-blown apocalypse, and it's not just the world that's being destroyed - it's also Owen's relationship with Luna. As the two of them stand amidst the ruins, Owen realizes that his OCD was just a symptom of a deeper issue - his own fear of chaos and uncertainty. In the aftermath, Luna tries to salvage what's left of Owen's shattered psyche, but it's clear that the damage is done. The once-manicured lawn is now a twisted mess, filled with weeds and debris. The house is reduced to rubble. And Owen - well, Owen is no more. He's been consumed by his OCD, leaving behind a crater where his mind used to be. The film ends with a haunting image of Luna, scrolling through her TikTok feed, her face bathed in an eerie glow. As she posts a final update about Owen's mental state, the screen fades to black, leaving the audience with a haunting question: what happens when our inner demons are not just a curse, but a doorway to Armageddon?
