Salt

Plot
In the thrilling action-drama Salt, Angelina Jolie takes on the role of Evelyn Salt, a CIA officer who has dedicated her life to serving her country. The film opens with Evelyn, a devoted wife to her husband Mike, played by Liev Schreiber, as they celebrate their wedding anniversary in a luxurious hotel room. Their intimate moment is abruptly disrupted by a Russian defector named Orlov, played by Daniel Olbrychski, who bursts into their room and accuses Evelyn of being a Russian sleeper spy. The accusation sends Evelyn's world into a tailspin, forcing her to go on the run to clear her name. Her years of training and experience as a covert operative kick in, and she quickly takes control of the situation. With her CIA handlers hot on her heels, Evelyn must use every ounce of skill and cunning to evade capture and stay one step ahead of her pursuers. As Evelyn navigates the complex web of espionage, she is confronted with the harsh reality of her situation. Her colleagues at the CIA are unsure of her loyalty, and they begin to question her every move. Evelyn's relationships with her husband and her colleagues are tested, and she must make difficult choices to protect those she cares about. One of Evelyn's greatest concerns is her husband Mike, who believes in her innocence and refuses to abandon her. Despite the danger that she poses to him, Mike stands by Evelyn, and their love for each other becomes a beacon of hope in a world of deception and betrayal. As the hunt for Evelyn continues, the CIA becomes increasingly desperate to uncover the truth behind her identity. They begin to investigate her past, scouring her records and interviewing her former associates. Evelyn's cover is blown when it is discovered that her entire identity is a fabrication, and she is, in fact, a Russian mole who has been working for the Kremlin for years. The revelation sends shockwaves through the CIA, and Evelyn finds herself on the run from her former colleagues. She uses her skills and experience to evade capture, often finding herself in precarious and deadly situations. Despite the danger that surrounds her, Evelyn remains determined to clear her name and prove her loyalty to her country. As the cat-and-mouse game between Evelyn and the CIA reaches its climax, the stakes become increasingly high. Evelyn's husband Mike becomes a potential target, and she must use every trick in the book to protect him. The tension builds to a heart-pumping conclusion, where Evelyn's true loyalties are finally revealed. In the end, it becomes clear that Evelyn's actions are motivated by a desire to protect her husband and her country. Despite being a Russian sleeper spy, Evelyn's love for Mike and her devotion to duty ultimately prove to be her downfall. The film ends with Evelyn's fate hanging in the balance, and the audience is left wondering what the future holds for this complex and intriguing character.
