Scary Movie 3

Plot
Scary Movie 3 is a parody film that takes aim at a variety of horror movies, including The Ring, Signs, and 8 Mile. The film picks up with Anna Faris reprising her role as Cindy Campbell, a news anchor who is dealing with the pressures of modern television. Cindy, worked at WAPX news, alongside a team of quirky co-hosts, including Tom Ryan and Ed McMahon, in a satirical send up of modern news. Reports of mysterious and gruesome events flood the newsroom as strange occurrences are connected to seemingly innocent items such as video tapes. Cindy teams up with her cameraman, Tom (Reginald VelJohnson), to investigate these unsettling stories. As Cindy delves deeper into the mystery of the gruesome video tapes, she learns of an urban legend surrounding a cursed videotape that contains footage of a murder. When someone watches the tape, they receive a phone call from the spirit of the murder victim, warning them to pass the tape on to others and to avoid breaking the cursed tradition. Cindy's interest in uncovering the truth behind the tape leads her to explore various theories and even attempts to break the curse. Meanwhile, a series of crop circles appears all across the Midwest, inspiring wild speculation and conspiracy theories. The main theory is that the mysterious geometric patterns hold some special celestial powers, possibly linked to telepathic alien contact. A number of scientists explain the phenomenon as mass hysteria rather than a supernatural event. President Lex Luthor, however, views the crop circles with greater significance, believing that their formation is an otherworldly sign of an impending alien invasion. Desperate to find a solution to what could soon threaten the world, he sets out to recruit Cindy's help. The reason behind this, though, might not lie in her remarkable skills as an investigator, but in her alleged psychic prowess. According to Presidential advisors, Cindy subconsciously had a telepathic vision of an alien invasion in the near future. As Cindy is whisked away to the White House to take part in a telepathic brainstorming session with the President's team, she is tasked with helping the group decipher a possible alien message delivered through the crop circles. Cindy doesn't have any evident telepathic abilities, but decides to let the team believe she does. Many events start unfolding - or unraveling - including a failed attempt to record an alien language signal, accidental accidental insults to Presidential officials, she has now begun to experience unexplainable dreams about being in government buildings and now genuinely claims to believe that aliens are approaching America. However, the initial conspiracy theories and urban legends start turning into real threats - both human and extraterrestrial. The cursed videotapes are revealed to be harbingers for the deadly alien invasion. Moreover, the videotapes, created by the aliens' technology, contain the real reason behind the crop circle message - and all the creepy events leading up to the invasion.
