Sarah and Rachel are the documentary filmmakers who set out on the perilous journey to Virginia City to uncover the history surrounding Julia Bulette's murder and bring this intriguing piece of history to light. As they dig deeper into the town's past, they meet local historian, Dr. Robert McMillan. Throughout their investigations, Sarah and Rachel are met with resistance from the town's residents, some of whom do not want Julia's sordid history exposed. As they begin to uncover some startling evidence, it becomes clear that they have stumbled into more than they bargained for. Faced with a daunting task of unravelling a decades-old mystery, Sarah and Rachel must also contend with a series of ominous and potentially deadly events, all of which appear to be aimed at silencing them and preventing Julia's dark history from being revealed. As tensions rise and the stakes grow higher, Sarah and Rachel are led to a shocking revelation about Julia Bulette's connection to the murder and her involvement in the illicit silver trade. They also uncover evidence pointing towards some surprising suspects, which ultimately leads them close to solving the enigmatic crime.
