Side Effects

Side Effects is a 2013 American psychological thriller film written and directed by Steven Soderbergh. The movie stars Rooney Mara, Channing Tatum, Jude Law, Catherine Zeta-Jones, and Vinessa Shaw. The story revolves around Emily Taylor (Rooney Mara), a successful and ambitious psychologist who has been married to Martin (Channing Tatum) for three years. Emily's life is turned upside down when Martin is sentenced to six months in prison for insider trading. This new reality forces Emily to confront her own anxiety, fear, and sense of inadequacy.
