Suspicion

Based on a novel by Felicity Ann Frankenstein and later adapted by Billy Wilder and Samuel A. Taylor, Suspicion tells the tale of Lina McLaidlaw, a young and affluent woman from a family of modest means. Born into a world of wealth and privilege, Lina grew up surrounded by the finest things life has to offer, and her marriage to Johnnie Aysgarth is no exception. However, Johnnie's roguish charm quickly gives way to a darker and more sinister nature, leaving Lina bewildered and disillusioned. Lina falls deeply in love with Johnnie, a charismatic and suave playboy, and the two elope, much to the dismay of Lina's family. However, their blissful honeymoon is short-lived as Lina discovers Johnnie's infidelity and deceitful nature.
