Plot

Nick Wells, a seasoned and highly skilled thief in his 50s, is contemplating retirement. He's amassed a significant fortune through his illicit activities, enough to live comfortably for the rest of his life. However, the thrill and the adrenaline rush of pulling off a successful heist are what keep him going. His current relationship with his girlfriend Diane is a stable and genuine one, and she wants him to leave his life of crime behind, move to the countryside, and settle down with her. Nick's partner and friend, Louis, has recently been diagnosed with a terminal illness, making him realize that life is short and should be lived to the fullest. Nick is torn between his desire to leave his life of crime and the loyalty he owes to Louis. They have a long-standing agreement to work together on one final job before Nick retires. Nick also considers teaming up with his protégé, Jack, a young and ambitious thief, for this last heist. A few years ago, Jack had met Nick while he was attempting to break into a casino safe. Nick decided to take a chance on the young man and taught him the ins and outs of the craft. Since then, Jack has honed his skills and has become an expert in his own right. He's convinced Nick to give him a chance to work alongside him on this final job, which Nick reluctantly agrees to. The target of their plan is a high-security art museum in Europe, where a valuable painting is on display. The museum's security system is state-of-the-art, and any attempt to bypass it would be extremely high-risk. However, Nick and Louis have been working on this plan for months, and they're confident in their ability to execute it flawlessly. As the team begins to assemble the elements necessary for the heist, tensions arise. Jack is eager to prove himself, while Louis is more apprehensive, knowing it might be his last job. Diane, sensing Nick's growing reluctance, tries to persuade him to abandon the plan and leave his life of crime behind. Nick's concerns escalate as he realizes the risks involved in this job might be too great. He begins to consider the consequences of getting caught and the impact it would have on those around him. He also starts to question whether he's still got it in him – whether his skills are as sharp as they used to be. Meanwhile, the team discovers that the art museum's security system is more complex than initially thought. They realize they'll need additional expertise and resources to bypass the security cameras and alarms. They decide to recruit a local expert, Max, to help them bypass the system. As the plan begins to unfold, the team faces numerous obstacles and setbacks. The museum's security is tighter than anticipated, and the risks involved are becoming increasingly apparent. However, with their combined expertise and experience, they're able to adapt and overcome the challenges in front of them. As the night of the heist approaches, the tension builds. The team goes through the motions, using their skills to navigate the complex security system. Jack is forced to improvise when things go awry, and his quick thinking helps to salvage the plan. In the end, they succeed in pulling off the heist, but at what cost? They suffer injuries, and their relationship dynamics are put to the test. As they escape with the valuable painting, they're met with the consequences of their actions – a chaotic and high-speed chase through the city's streets. The Score's climax is a thrilling and suspenseful ride that keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. As Nick and his team escape the chaos, they're left to ponder what the future holds. Will Nick finally get to retire, or will he be drawn back into the world of crime? The film's conclusion leaves the audience wondering about the characters' ultimate fates and the impact of their actions on those around them.
