The Good Dinosaur

In the midst of a fictionalized alternate history, "The Good Dinosaur" takes audiences on an extraordinary journey into a world where the asteroid that wiped out the dinosaurs missed Earth. This alternate reality allows Large herbivorous dinosaurs like the long-necked Apatosaurus, commonly known as Longnecks, to thrive alongside various species of carnivorous predators. The story revolves around Arlo, a young and timid Apatosaurus who struggles to adapt to his new surroundings. Born into a family of fierce hunters, Arlo lacks the instinct to fend for himself, often getting left behind by his siblings and family members. Living with the constant fear of being attacked by a predator serves as a recurring nightmare for Arlo. In an effort to overcome his anxieties, Arlo's father, Henry, tries to teach Arlo the necessary survival skills, but Arlo's reluctance to face his fears proves to be a significant challenge. Feeling abandoned by his family after experiencing a traumatic incident, Arlo finds himself adrift in the wilderness with little hope of ever reconnecting with his family. Fate intervenes when Arlo makes an unlikely and life-changing encounter with a young human boy. The human, who remains unnamed throughout the movie, finds himself stranded in the wilderness after the devastating loss of his family due to the crashing of their plane. Like Arlo, he faces immense difficulties due to the absence of support and the ever-present threat of predators lurking around. As their paths cross, the two embark on a series of perilous adventures. The most overwhelming predator in Arlo's world is the ferocious and flesh-hungry Carnotaurus. A cunning and merciless hunter driven by hunger, the Carnotaurus contributes to the constant anxiety that engulfs Arlo throughout the movie. The animosity between the group of Carnotaurs led by a massive alpha male named Buster and the duo quickly takes shape as they find themselves between a pair of lethal enemies. The Apatosaurus and the human, despite being vastly different species, eventually form an unbreakable bond that transcends their differences in a profound display of friendship and loyalty. Throughout their perilous endeavors, Arlo begins to learn the value of courage through his friendship with the human, whereas the human finds a teacher in Arlo's knowledge of the wilderness and their environment. This is reinforced when The human learns basic Apatosaur body language and sounds from Arlo. Through their enthralling travels, the duo tackles enormous challenges that put their friendship to the test time and again. They also come across a few endearing creatures along the way, including an assortment of Apatosaurs they grow bonded to as they discover a friendly and secluded sanctuary that shelters multiple member Apatosaurus family.
