Underworld: Awakening

In the year 2012, after years of seclusion in a secret underground facility, vampire warrior Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is awakened by a team of scientists led by Dr. Jonathan Lieerrick (Stephen Rea), who have been experimenting on her in an attempt to unlock the secrets of the vampire's immortality. As Selene struggles to regain her strength and come to terms with her captivity, she discovers that the world above has changed beyond recognition. Humans, who were previously unaware of the existence of vampires and lycans, have now learned the truth and are waging a brutal war against both species. Selene learns of the atrocities being committed against the lycans in particular, and she decides that she must escape the facility and join forces with Michael (Theo James), a half-human, half-vampire hybrid who is the son of Lucian (Michael Sheen), the leader of the lycan pack.
