In the midst of 1980s Hong Kong, a group of five unlikely friends, each with their own unique character, emerges from prison with an aim to turn their lives around. John Shum, Richard Ng, Jimmy Wong, Dean Shek, and Richard Ng are determined to stay on the straight and narrow path, eschewing their previous lives of crime. As part of this resolution to reform, they form an unorthodox business venture, aptly named the '5-Star Cleaning Service.' This modest operation, however, unwittingly sets the stage for a larger struggle between rival gangs vying for dominance over the lucrative counterfeit currency trade.
