Clichéd and unoriginal.

Until the reveal, I genuinely thought the main character was the real jester. This film tries too hard to be profound in some parts, while being overly obvious in others. The plot lacks depth and isn't trashy enough, making it a mediocre effort. The lead actress is pretty, but I prefer Sara, she's truly beautiful.

The setting is good, and some of the jokes are clever. But the script is ruined by its insistence on a heterosexual universe and a lack of originality. It would have been much more interesting if it were about two female killers (why couldn't they have met online and written a novel together?). The male killer is too predictable; any "perfect" "Mr. Perfect" is always problematic, both in horror movies and in real life. The campus scenes are good (that aerial shot of the dormitory building looks like a coffin from a vampire movie, which is terrifying!), and the abandoned swimming pool scene is also well done. The predatory professor and the antisocial killer both get impaled by Don Quixote, which is quite fitting karmic retribution. If the female lead had just stabbed him in the eyes and scrambled his brains, we could have cut ten minutes of boring plot. As for her female friends...
