Handlung

"Out West" finds the Marx Brothers' Moe, Larry, and Shemp, the infamous Three Stooges, leaving their busy lives behind to seek a more tranquil environment in the Arizona Territory. The main reason for their relocation is reportedly Shemp's poor health, and the trio hopes the fresh air and wide open spaces will do him some good. However, their decision proves to be a fateful one, as it brings them face-to-face with outlaws and a series of comedic misadventures. Upon their arrival, the Stooges immediately become entangled in the affairs of a notorious gang, led by the cunning and ruthless villain, Black Bart. Black Bart has his sights set on rescuing his captured henchmen and eliminating the Arizona Kid, a legendary lawman who has been causing him trouble for quite some time. What's more, Black Bart intends to marry the Arizona Kid's lovely sweetheart, Nell, as part of his twisted plan for revenge. The Stooges stumble upon the Arizona Kid, who's been imprisoned by the outlaws. Seeing an opportunity to help the struggling lawman and perhaps also alleviate their boredom, Moe, Larry, and Shemp hatch a plan to set him free. However, their rescue attempt quickly devolves into chaos, with the Stooges inadvertently causing more harm than good. Despite this, they manage to release the Arizona Kid, and he rides off towards the nearby cavalry fort to inform them of the situation. Meanwhile, Black Bart's men are hot on the Stooges' heels, and it's not long before they're being pursued and harassed by the villainous gang. In their haste, the Stooges manage to get the attention of a local saloon owner, who mistakes them for the cavalry. In a comedic twist, the saloon owner requests that the Stooges deliver a stagecoach carrying gold to the nearby fort, completely unaware that they're nothing more than bumbling pranksters. As they attempt to drive the stagecoach, Moe, Larry, and Shemp inadvertently cause a series of mishaps along the way, including destroying a section of the road and spooking the horses. The outlaws catch up to them, and a comedic showdown ensues. In the end, the Stooges manage to single-handedly defeat the outlaws through their signature brand of slapstick humor, poking their eyes and faces with an assortment of inanimate objects, including a cactus, a bottle, and even a piece of bacon rind. Despite the arrival of the cavalry, the Stooges prove themselves to be more than capable of handling the situation, even if it means resorting to ridiculous antics and outlandish stunts. The final confrontation sees the Stooges, with some unexpected help from Nell, who manages to distract Black Bart and his men, ultimately thwarting their plans. The Arizona Kid reappears, riding into town just in time to see the outlaws defeated and the gold stagecoach rescued. As the dust settles, the Stooges, exhausted and battered but still unbroken, receive some much-needed assistance from the cavalry. Together, they ride off into the sunset, having saved the day and brought their bumbling antics to a rousing conclusion. "Out West" is a classic Three Stooges comedy, showcasing their trademark brand of slapstick humor, physical comedy, and irreverent antics. With its lighthearted tone and comedic misunderstandings, this film is an entertaining romp, full of slapstick humor that will leave audiences laughing and in high spirits.
