Final Destination 5
Plot
As the survivors begin to pick up the pieces and try to move on with their lives, they soon realize that their near-death experience has left them with a strange and unsettling feeling - Death is still lurking, waiting to claim its due. One by one, the group members start to meet their untimely demise in gruesome and creative ways, as if the universe itself is determined to see that Death's tally remains unbroken. The film opens on a frenetic note, with a montage of chaotic images that culminate in a heart-stopping bridge collapse sequence. As the survivors regroup and try to make sense of what just happened, we're introduced to a new protagonist, Sam (Nicholas D'Agosto), who's haunted by visions of impending doom. Sam's premonition saves the group from certain death on the bridge, but it also sets in motion a chain of events that will ultimately lead to their downfall. As the story unfolds, Death's icy grip tightens around each character, claiming them one by one in a series of increasingly bizarre and gruesome fashion. There's Peter (Ian Harding), who succumbs to a freak elevator accident; Molly (Mélanie Scarmuzzini), whose beauty is transformed into a grotesque horror; and even the film's resident skeptic, Oliver (Trevor Jakubek), who meets his maker in a manner that defies all logic. Throughout it all, Sam becomes increasingly convinced that he's somehow responsible for Death's relentless pursuit of his friends. His visions grow more vivid and disturbing, as if Death itself is taunting him with the fates of those around him. The tension builds to a thrilling climax, as Sam finds himself pitted against an unstoppable force that seems determined to claim them all. With its clever blend of witty banter, gruesome set pieces, and eerie atmosphere, Final Destination 5 delivers a wickedly entertaining ride that will keep you on the edge of your seat until the very end.

Highlights: First, the male supporting character is a total blend of Tom Cruise and Christian Bale! Second, they actually manage to tie it back to the first movie in the end! Actually, every movie in this series can be summed up in one sentence: The sooner you die, the sooner you're reborn.

Anyone who actually went to see this in 3D is a true warrior.

The good news is that Death isn't targeting college students anymore. It seems like they've graduated and started wreaking havoc on the working class. The bad news is that Death's professional skills are still top-notch, especially when it comes to water and electricity – a truly excellent hydro-electric engineer, apparently.

Unlike other movies, Final Destination is unique in that the protagonist is guaranteed to die.
