Red Rocket

Red Rocket follows the tumultuous life of Mikey Saber, a former adult film star struggling to come to terms with his fading fame in Los Angeles. Having reached a point where he can no longer rely on his reputation and physical appearance to secure lucrative roles, Mikey begins to hit rock bottom in the city he once called home. With no clear prospects on the horizon, he makes the decision to return to his hometown of Texas City, Texas, in the hopes of finding solace and support from his estranged wife, Dixie, and her mother, a stern and judgmental woman. As Mikey arrives in Texas City, he is met with a mixture of nostalgia and discomfort. His return to the small town where everyone knows each other's business serves as a harsh reminder of the life he left behind. While Dixie, who has been struggling to maintain a sense of purpose, agrees to take him in, their marriage has been strained ever since Mikey's career took off, leaving Dixie behind to care for their young daughter, Elizabeth. He begins to use his charm to manipulate Strawberry into getting involved with him, exploiting her innocence and naivety for his own gain.
