Return to Oz

Plot
Dorothy finds herself in a dark and eerie asylum, surrounded by strange and frightening individuals. Her memories of Oz are beginning to fade, replaced by the stark reality of the psychiatric facility. However, she soon catches the eye of a young girl named Dorothy Gale, who seems to be trapped in the asylum along with her. The two Dottie's start to communicate and share stories, and it becomes clear that they are one and the same person - transported into the asylum's walls. As they journey through the labyrinthine hallways and eerie corridors, they stumble upon a group of disturbed patients who are seemingly brought to life by their own delusions. There is Hickory, a former soldier whose memories of battle have defined him; a Scarecrow's head, who has been sewn onto a doll body but retains his wit and sarcasm; and a Munchkin, now crippled and confined to a wheelchair, who possesses a deep sadness. While navigating the asylum's surreal world, Dorothy discovers a series of clues and hidden symbols etched into the walls, leading her to the mysterious girl who saved her. As she unravels the mystery, she uncovers the dark and sadistic nature of her kidnappers, the doctors at the asylum, who have been experimenting on the patients using a combination of psychological manipulation and physical torture. Meanwhile, Dorothy also starts to uncover the sinister purpose behind her return to Oz - a land of her creation, born from her own imagination and fears. It is a twisted and fantastical realm, full of magical creatures and wonder, but also danger and uncertainty. As she delves deeper, she discovers a group of sinister creatures, such as the Wheelers and the Wheel, which serve as enforcers of the tyrannical Princess Mombi, the ruler of this twisted realm. As Dorothy navigates the fragile boundaries between her own mind and the world of Oz, she begins to realize that her own sanity is under assault. Her grip on reality starts to slip, and the lines between reality and fantasy begin to blur. Her new friends, Hickory, the Scarecrow, and the Munchkin, become increasingly unstable, and Dorothy begins to question whether she can trust them, or if they too are a product of her own fractured mind. As she confronts the dark forces that have captured her, Dorothy discovers that her own memories and experiences have been manipulated by the doctors, and that her return to Oz is merely a projection of her own subconscious, a desperate attempt to escape the horror and trauma that she has endured at the asylum. Ultimately, Dorothy must confront the ultimate foe: the personification of her own madness, symbolized by the enigmatic figure of the Nome King, who represents the darkest corners of her own psyche. As the battle between her conscious and subconscious rages on, Dorothy is forced to make a choice between her grip on reality and her desperate longing to return to Oz, a realm that has become a symbol of both her freedom and her captivity.
