The Nun II
Plot
As the sun sets over the picturesque French countryside in 1956, Father Burke, a devoted priest, lies brutally murdered in his own church. The investigation into his death leads to the arrival of Sister Irene, a young and determined nun who has already crossed paths with a malevolent force in her past. As she delves deeper into the mystery surrounding Father Burke's demise, Sister Irene uncovers a web of deceit and corruption that threatens to destroy everything she holds dear. Her search for truth takes her on a perilous journey through the darkest corners of human nature, where she confronts a powerful evil that seems almost impossible to vanquish. As the stakes grow higher, Sister Irene finds herself once again at odds with the forces of darkness. With her faith and resolve put to the ultimate test, she must summon all her strength and cunning to outwit the malevolent forces that seek to claim her as their own. But can she overcome the evil that lurks in every shadow, or will it ultimately consume her?

Honestly, it's a slight improvement over the first one. The magazine/flipping-book visual scares were decent, and the pacing wasn't bad. Though, splitting up my favorite duo was heartbreaking. The biggest highlight was probably the trailer for the new Conjuring Universe movie.

Seriously? This massive church, and they can only spare two nuns to save the world AGAIN? And the Black nun inclusion feels so forced. Is this some kind of bad joke, shoving political correctness down our throats?

The lack of priestly involvement and the reliance on Sister Irene for exorcism feels like a departure.

What it's really hinting at is relationships. If you've broken up, don't come crawling back. Things change, and ex-boyfriends can become even more terrifying than demons. The search for the eyes is about finding the discernment that love-struck minds often lack – the ability to see through the lies of toxic men!
